Christmas At The Albright’s — 5 Comments

  1. Hi Cynce, loved this post! Wish I could of enjoyed Christmas with you and the family. Love all your snowmen decorations too! 😉

Glad the kids enjoyed the popcorn balls. I think you all did a wonderful job of dressing them up! 😀

I spent the day with the Fosters and with the family in El Rio. Grandma even felt strong enough to join us which was great! I shared my “engagement” story with them and that was a lot of fun…except Bobby wasn’t there. He couldn’t go because he had to work Christmas night and so he was sleeping. 🙁 But at least I was able to enjoy Christmas dinner with him, and of course Christmas gifts too!

I really like how you incorporated Jesus into your Christmas. I think I’m going to start doing that too. Devotionals BEFORE gifts will help remind all of us about the true reason for celebrating. <3

Thanks for sharing about your day and Happy New Year's Eve!!

    Love ya!

  2. Lou, you're funny. It was Don's idea for the mp3's. He got his deals, MaryEllen's was a display model and the other two were on clearance where he works. Now I have to teach the kids how to rip CD's. Can't wait to read about y'alls Christmas.

  3. Cynthia, what a lovely Christmas you enjoyed! I love all the cool gifts. I’ve been dying to read the Peleg Chronicles. Let me know how she likes them. The reviews have been pretty good…

Your popcorn balls came out so cute! I love this and didn’t have time (it wouldn’t come in time) for it this year, but I hope I remember them for next year. I think this is something my kids would really enjoy.

Your homemade eggnog looks so good. Joshua loves eggnog and has been known to go through a container of it by himself. 😉 I made gluten free eggplant parmesan yesterday and it came out wonderful. Isn’t it fun to find out that we can still enjoy our old favorites by substituting here and there.

I love the pic of you and your husband! Yes, you should post more pics of yourself. You are very pretty and look so much like Linda. 🙂

    • Hi Dee,
OOh, eggplant parmesan sounds so good! Yes, it is fun. I spent a little time yesterday looking up wheat free bread, biscuits, pizza crust, etc., stuff we enjoy and I know it will make easier for the kids if I can still make them. Pasta is another story.LOL!

Eggnog is a hit or miss with some. We enjoy it here too, except Don. I don’t like the high fructose corn syrup in the commercial brand, plus it is so expensive, that was my motivation in trying to make it.

Lou and I use to pretend we were twins growing up in the lower grades. We even dressed the same. LOL!
