Fun With Scrabble
Lately the kids and I have been enjoying the game of Scrabble . Right now, we aren’t keeping score, we are just having fun building words. The kids and I use the Scrabble Dictionary to find new words or to check our spelling.
It would be great if we had a few more Scrabble Dictionaries. I am thinking of checking PaperbackSwap. The kids have found some interesting words. It makes the game all the more interesting.
I love this board because it has pockets to hold the tiles which keeps them in place and the board turns, so when it is your turn you can read it better instead of side-ways or upside down.
After the kids get better at forming words, we will make it more fun with ‘triple word score’, ‘double letter score’, and so forth. Right now as we play, I give them little tips here and there on how to form words and where they can be placed. Of course, once we start keeping score, it will get a little more tricky.
Now that we have been playing Scrabble , I want to purchase the game Upwords. Since the kids have enjoyed Scrabble so much, I know they will like Upwords.
I like your siggy, can I have one 😉
