Getting The Garden Bed Ready
This past week, we got the garden bead ready for plants. The kids measured the bed and divided it into feet. They then marked off each foot all around.
Donnie drilled the screws into the sides where the string will be wound around.
This is what it looked like when they were done measuring and stringing.
MaryEllen tending to the parsley.
Our parsley from last year is just flourishing and the strawberry plant from last year is peeking through too. We are going to leave them where they are and plant around them.
Donnie helped Don put in posts and string for the climbing vegetables. This year I want to grow zucchini and green beans. We will do cucumbers too.
There you are, the beginnings of our garden. We will also do container gardening with some of the vegetables.
Happy Gardening,
I’ll have to show Lupe this post. We just get the dirt ready and throw in the seeds =) Well, not just throw them in but we haven’t done the whole graph thing 😉
